For Sacramento Homeowners

How SacLocalLeads Works

SacLocalLeads is a free, independent directory for Sacramento-area homeowners. Use it to compare public listings, browse by city or trade, and check details directly with businesses before you hire.

What Is SacLocalLeads?

Use SacLocalLeads as a starting point: compare businesses, then verify the details directly with each provider before hiring.

SacLocalLeads is an independent local business directory. We list local service businesses — plumbers, HVAC companies, roofers, electricians, and landscapers — serving the greater Sacramento area. Homeowners can browse listings, see what services a business offers and where they operate, and contact businesses directly.

We are not a lead generation service, a referral agency, or affiliated with any contractor. We do not sell your contact information, and we don't connect you to multiple businesses simultaneously.

How to Find a Business

Browse by service category (Plumbers, HVAC, Roofing, Electricians, Landscaping) or by city. Each listing shows the business name, services offered, cities served, and direct contact information. Call or visit their website directly from the listing.

What to Do Before You Hire

Important: Always verify before hiring. SacLocalLeads listings are informational only. We do not verify contractor licenses, insurance, or any business credentials. The steps below apply to any contractor you hire, regardless of how you found them.
  1. Verify their California contractor license. Most home improvement contractors in California are required to hold a license from the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Look up any contractor at cslb.ca.gov. This is free and takes 30 seconds.
  2. Get at least two or three quotes. Prices for the same job can vary significantly between companies. Getting multiple quotes gives you a baseline and protects you from overpricing.
  3. Get the scope of work in writing. Before any work begins, ask for a written contract or detailed estimate that specifies what will be done, what materials will be used, and what the total cost will be.
  4. Ask about permits. Many home improvement jobs in Sacramento require permits. A legitimate contractor will pull the required permits. Be cautious of anyone who suggests skipping permits to save money.
  5. Do not pay 100% upfront. A common scam is demanding full payment before work begins, then disappearing or doing poor work. A reasonable deposit (typically 10–30%) is normal; full payment should come after the job is completed.
